From the City, we drove bound south to visit The Monastery of the Holy Eucharist, also known as Simala Church that is located in Sibonga Town, Southern Cebu. Simala Church is one of the well-known religious places in the Philippines that also has thousands of devotees. This is undoubtedly the 2nd time I set foot in the place. My only regret was not having enough photos inside the castle-like church because my phone battery got drained and forgot to bring a lifesaver bank but since I was able to kiss the preserved glass case of The Miraculous Virgin Mary ( where she is believed to have shed tears). I went very content as I returned home.
Things To Remember:
When visiting the church, you must wear a proper outfit since wearing inappropriate clothes is prohibited. Simala Church has a wide parking area where you can safely park your own vehicle before entering the gate. There are also stores outside the church where you can eat with your friends and family. Please don’t forget to keep your phone or any gadgets on silent. Also, if I’m not mistaken, flying of drones is not allowed in the area.
